DESCRIPTION:Our online raffle is now live! This is your chance to win one&n
 bsp\;of&nbsp\;three&nbsp\;original Indigenous&nbsp\;artworks&nbsp\;from&nb
 sp\;the Kimberley and Tiwi&nbsp\;Islands&nbsp\;AND&nbsp\;support&nbsp\;Ind
 igenous literacy at the same time.&nbsp\;
 All proceeds will benefit&nbsp
 \;the&nbsp\;Kate&nbsp\;Mullin&nbsp\;Association&nbsp\;Scholarship&nbsp\;fu
 nd. The fund provides $5\,000 per year in financial assistance to Indigeno
 us Australian students from rural and remote communities to pursue a Bache
 lor of Education degree in Western Australia.&nbsp\;The renewable scholars
 hip supports students through their four-year university course to ease li
 ving expenses\, course materials\, and practicum placements. Scholarship r
 ecipients then return to work in schools in their communities. This streng
 thens local capacity in teaching literacy\, brings in teachers who will be
  there for the long term\, adds much-needed bilingual and bicultural abili
 ties\, and provides strong role models for Aboriginal youth. This also hel
 ps address the fundamental problem Aboriginal schools have in finding and 
 keeping teachers.&nbsp\;
