Soroptimist International Mackay Inc. (SIM) is a vibrant and welcoming club for women of all ages who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of women and girls, both locally and globally.
Based in the Mackay region, our members come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wealth of experience, skills and perspectives. Through friendship, collaboration and service, we work together to educate, empower and enable women and girls to reach their full potential.
Our regular meetings provide opportunities to connect, discuss current issues, plan projects and enjoy the fellowship of like-minded women committed to creating positive change.

Club Information
Soroptimist International Mackay Inc. is part of the global Soroptimist International network, a volunteer movement working to transform the lives of women and girls through education, empowerment and advocacy.
For five decades, SI Mackay has quietly and consistently worked alongside women and community partners to create meaningful change. Our projects, advocacy and collaborations reflect not only responsiveness to local need, but also a steadfast belief in the potential of women and girls. The impact we celebrate today has been built by generations of dedicated members who have given their time, skills and hearts to this community.
Our story is part of something much larger.
While fundraising supports our activities, our focus extends beyond raising money. We seek to create lasting impact by increasing awareness, promoting education, celebrating the achievements of women and advocating for change on issues affecting women and girls.
Our club values friendship, inclusion and collaboration and welcomes women from all walks of life who wish to contribute their time, talents and ideas.

Our Mission
Soroptimist International Mackay Inc. develops strategic partnerships and collaborates with others to support the objectives of Soroptimist International. We align our work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and advocate for the implementation of international agreements that promote equality, peace and human rights.
Through education, advocacy and action, we strive to create a world where women and girls have the opportunity to achieve their aspirations and live free from violence and discrimination.
