This display has been brought to Albany with the kind assistance of Vancouver Arts Centre, City of Albany and Camtrans Transport.

Soroptimist International of The Hills District Annual Public Speaking Competition Saturday 21st September 2024. The 2024 Public Speaking Competition is organised as a component of the Hills Shire Council Orange Blossom Festival. There will be 3 year-based divisions - Junior: Years 7 and 8, Middle: Year 9 and 10, Senior: Years 11 and 12. The 2024 United Nations – International Women’s Day Theme for 2024 was ‘Learning Power’.It challenged everyone to explore how lifelong and continual learning gives us power to change, grow and achieve our individual, team and organisational goals. Students will be asked to prepare and present a speech on the topic of: The Power of Learning. Students in the Junior division will be required to speak for 3-4 minutes and students in the Middle and Senior divisions will be required to speak for 5-6 minutes.
