We are thrilled to announce that Soroptimist International Griffith has been awarded AUD $6,535 through the Brilliant Futures Fund for their transformative project: "Enable Empower:Turning Theory into Action"
Across the globe, countess incredible grassroots projects never reach their full potential simply due to a lack of funding. At SISEAP, we are determined to change that narrative.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members across 13 SISEAP countries, we are in a unique position to self-fund grassroots initiatives that have the power to transform lives from the ground up. Totalling $12,035 with in-kind support, this program will run from May 2026 to April 2027, equipping Year 9–11 girls across Griffith with essential leadership tools, confidence, and emotional intelligence.
What’s in Store for Our Young Leaders?
Interactive Workshops: Full-day leadership and wellbeing sessions, followed by interactive workshops delivered in partnership with Burn Bright.
Dedicated Mentorship: Soroptimist mentors paired directly with participating high schools to guide students every step of the way.
Student-Led Action: Students won't just learn leadership—they’ll put it into practice by designing and executing their own school-based wellbeing projects.
Inclusive & Barrier-Free: 100% free participation, with priority access for First Nations, culturally diverse, disadvantaged, and access-needs students to ensure every girl gets the chance to shine.
Stronger Together Aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 5.5 (Equal leadership opportunities for women), this program builds on past successes to reach 30+ young leaders across 5 local high schools this year.
