SI Club of Bangsar: "ONE VOICE AGAINST BULLYING" (#SayNoToBullying)

What They Hope to Achieve

SI Club of Bangsar aims to combat the pervasive issue of physical, psychological, social, and cyberbullying affecting children and youth in Malaysia. Aligned with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), the campaign’s core objective is to empower young girls and women to know their legal rights, speak out against tech-facilitated harassment, and cultivate safe, respectful campus cultures.

How They Will Do It

Guided by the legal framework of Malaysia’s Anti-Bullying Act 2026 (which officially came into force on June 16, 2026), SI Bangsar will execute a comprehensive 6-pronged, 1-year strategic campaign:

Personal Safety Workshops: Educate students on recognizing digital and physical bullying risks, understanding digital footprints, and mastering the "5Ds of Safe Bystander Intervention".
Educational Toolkits & Materials: Develop interactive animations, comics, flyers, and bookmarks teaching school children how to navigate the Online Anti-Bullying portal, frame complaints, and understand civil remedies, including joint parental liability and potential RM250,000 compensation mechanisms.
Parental Webinars: Educate parents on their legal responsibilities regarding their children's online behaviour.
Train-the-Trainer Modules: Train external organizations and interested partners to scale workshop delivery.
Institutional Support: Assist schools in setting up compliant, child-sensitive anti-bullying committees and reporting channels under Section 7(1) of the Act.
Direct Outreach: Reach over 4,000 students across 10 or more core events, distributing thousands of informational materials throughout key periods like the International Day of the Girl Child and the 16 Days of Activism.
