Presidents Message - September 2026

President Elect Oyungerel and I are pleased to announce the launch of the Federation Women’s Health Campaign, “Her Health Our Wealth” an initiative to strengthen Soroptimist action on the health issues affecting women and girls across our regions and countries.

The campaign will be Federation-supported and locally led. Regional and national leaders are currently being invited to identify their priority women’s health issue and work with clubs to develop practical responses based on local needs.

A small Federation Health Campaign Committee is being established to support the campaign by providing guidance, resources, communication and opportunities for regions and clubs to share their work and learning.

The next major step will be a Women’s Forum Webinar in October, where regional and national campaign leads and Clubs will be invited to:

  • share their identified health priorities;
  • discuss opportunities for club involvement;
  • explore a simple project and leadership approach;
  • identify possible partnerships and activities; and
  • agree on immediate next steps.

Clubs may begin by building on existing work such as Endometriosis (NSW) Ovarian Cancer (NZ) or developing a new activity relative to the health of Women and girls in their respective region or National Association, providing activities such as health education, awareness-raising, advocacy, community engagement or partnership development.

This campaign provides an opportunity for Soroptimist’s from across the Federation to combine local knowledge, professional expertise and collective action to improve the health and wellbeing of women and girls. We look forward to working together to turn identified priorities into meaningful action.
