The SISEAP Legacy Fund ensures that this work continues — not just today, but for decades to come.

A gift to the Legacy Fund is an investment in the future. It is a commitment to enduring impact, sustainable leadership, and lasting change

A legacy will enable us to focus on grassroots initiatives ensure that resources reach those who need them most, empowering woman and girls to build better futures for themselves and their families. Our work spans across the Federation, touching lives through targeted support and sustainable development.

  • What is the SISEAP Legacy Fund

    The Legacy Fund is a permanent, responsibly managed fund established to strengthen the long-term sustainability of SISEAP. 

    • The capital of the Fund is preserved.
    • Investment earnings are used to support strategic programs and initiatives.
    • The Fund operates under formally adopted folder Governance and Investment Policies.
    •  Oversight is provided by the SISEAP Board and designated committees. 

    The purpose of the Fund is simple:
    To provide stability, resilience, and continuity for our mission.

    Soroptimists, Soroptimist clubs, and supporters may contribute to the Legacy Fund with a donation at any time.

    Options include:

    • One-time donations
    • Recurring donations  
    • Club contributions
    • Special commemorative gifts
    • Named gifts (where appropriate)

    All contributions are acknowledged and carefully recorded.

    Leave a Gift now

  • Leave a Bequest

    You may choose to include SISEAP in your Will.

    A bequest can be:

    • A specific amount
    • A percentage of your estate
    • The residue of your estate
    • A gift in memory of a loved one

    We recommend seeking independent legal advice when preparing or updating your Will.

    All enquiries regarding bequests are treated confidentially.

    Suggested wording for a Will:  

    “I give to Soroptimist International South East Asia Pacific (SISEAP) the sum of _______ (or ___% of my estate / the residue of my estate) to be applied to the SISEAP Legacy Fund for its general purposes free from all debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, duties and taxes. I declare that receipt from the treasurer or other authorised officer of SISEAP shall be full and sufficient discharge of this bequest to my executor(s).”

    The Legacy Fund is managed with care, transparency, and responsibility.

    • The Fund operates under formally adopted Legacy and Investment Policies. 
    • Investments are made in accordance with prudent financial management principles.
    • Ethical and responsible investment considerations apply.

  • Is my donation tax-deductible

    Tax deductibility depends on your country of residence and local tax laws. We recommend consulting with a tax professional. We provide official receipts for all contributions.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    Is my gift confidential?
    Yes. All discussions and documentation are handled with discretion.

    Can clubs contribute collectively?
    Yes. Clubs are warmly encouraged to consider collective contributions.

    Can I direct how my bequest is used?
    The Legacy Fund supports the long-term strategic priorities of SISEAP. If you wish to discuss specific intentions, we welcome a confidential conversation.

    How is the Fund protected?
    The capital is preserved and invested responsibly in accordance with the approved policies adopted by SISEAP.

    “I give to Soroptimist International South East Asia Pacific (SISEAP) the sum of _______ (or ___% of my estate / the residue of my estate) to be applied to the SISEAP Legacy Fund for its general purposes free from all debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, duties and taxes. Club Member 

Join a local club, attend regular meetings and events and participate fully in project work which is local, national and international. Club membership provides learning opportunities, increased knowledge on issues which impact women, forge new friendships  through regular club attendance. You can also join our Online Community (see below) or become a linked member (if you live too far from a Club to attend or your personal circumstances prevent you from doing so).

Online Community Member

Don’t have the time to attend face to face meetings? then join our Online Community, where meetings are held electronically.  

Our Online Community meets via video conferencing, a virtual Club where members meet, network and also can breakout into smaller breakout rooms, where smaller groups can experiment with new tools, exchange ideas, share videos, network, adapting the formal style face to face meeting to a virtual space and succeed in delivering on projects and actions.

Associate

Informal Association is open to individuals who believe in what we do, want to support our mission, but can’t commit to club membership. This category is the equivalent to being a sponsor.  Associates may join the organisation on line at any time upon payment of an annual fee. 

There are four levels of association.  Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum

Each associate must agree to the Associate Terms of Reference document download the Terms of Reference(254 KB)

You decide on how much your association to SISEAP is valued and your increased support benefits women and girls.

Members work at the grass roots level to provide projects which Educate, Empower and Enable women and girls. 

Soroptimist International South East Asia Pacific, also has International wide projects which require funding.  At the time of becoming an Associate members, please consider your subscription level, the higher the level means that SISEAP has additional funds to implement their projects. 

Brilliant Futures Fund -  A funding source for Soroptimists.  This enables Soroptimist clubs to to fund their projects. Your support would assist with the education of girls in high schools in Malaysia,  continue to educate girls in Papua New Guinea. Read more about the work this fund provides HERE.

Disaster Fund - Asssists with providing 2nd level response support to communities who have been affected by disaster. Soroptimists are on the ground they know their communities and are able to provide quick, efficient humanitarian response

How do I join?

Membership is important to our organisation because our members deliver grassroots projects and undertake important advocacy. As we work towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, we are focused on issues such as gender equality, education and literacy for all, safety and health.

We offer two types of membership

Club Membership

Online Community 

The online community is meeting space for Soroptimists to meet virtually, this community will use online tools, interested women will meet in small groups, breakout rooms, exchange ideas, share calendars, pictures, videos tools which they will need to be able to set up advocacy and project work and continue our Soroptimist work.  The virtual community is a dynamic new approach to meet the changing needs of women who may be located remotely or not able to attend a face to face meeting.  Contact the Membership Online Community Team HERE for details of when this community will next be meeting.

Associate

If there is no Club in your area and you wish to support us to carry out our mission to Educate, Empower and Enable women and girls, you can choose to be an Associate Soroptimist  To find out more about becoming an Associate click HERE.
