Soroptimist International South East Asia Pacific (SISEAP) values and respects the privacy of our members and volunteers. SISEAP is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and other applicable privacy laws and regulations. 7. Direct Marketing
We will send you direct marketing communications, such as our eBulletin and eSPAN, and event invitations. All other essential communications will be sent to your club's designated email account. These communications (including newsletters and emails) will contain important operational information, news, opportunities, or events that SISEAP management and convenors deem necessary for the effective functioning of your club and the Federation.
All such communications will be sent in compliance with applicable marketing laws, including the Australian Spam Act 2003 (Cth). By being a member of SISEAP, you consent to receiving these direct marketing communications. You can opt-out of receiving these newsletters at any time by following the 'unsubscribe' instructions provided in the relevant communication.
8. Storage and Security
Protection of personal information is a priority for SISEAP, we take all reasonable precautions to safe-guard personal information from misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. When personal information is no longer required or out-of-date, or the member has deceased or ceased being a member, the information is deleted from our systems and/or securely destroyed.
Hard copy records of personal information are kept in our filing systems and/or on a database.
Personal information will not be released to persons or entities outside our organisation without your consent except where:
- Such disclosure is permitted under the Privacy Act 1988
- We are required by law to disclose information to third parties; or
- In the event that SISEAP has outsourced some internal functions to third party contractors, for example data warehousing, hosting servers or mail houses.

Members have access to their personal information via their secure log in. You may correct the information if you believe it to be inaccurate, out-of-date, or incomplete. If you do not know how to access your personal data on the database, please contact HQ for assistance.

Our website may use cookies to enhance user experience and collect non-personal information such as browser type and pages visited. You can choose to disable cookies through your browser settings.
11. International Disclosure
SISEAP (a company limited by guarantee) is based in Australia and may occasionally store or process information using cloud services located overseas. In such cases, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected in accordance with Australian privacy standards.
